Wizard of Oz

Citadel Arts Centre, Thursday, 05 July 2012 - Friday, 06 July 2012

Wizard of Oz: The West End welcomes Andrew Lloyd Webber's most recent musical The Wizard of Oz with open arms.

Based on the 1939 film and 1900 novel of the same name, The Wizard of Oz tells the story of Dorothy and her faithful little dog Toto who have found themselves in a strange, magical world after a cyclone. Along the yellow-brick road, Dorothy and Toto meet many strange faces and create unusual friendships as she searches for the Great Wizard of Oz, who will help her find her way home.

The musical includes original songs from the film, as well as new songs and additional music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

A truly magical treat for all fans of the original Wizard of Oz.

Wizard of Oz: The Citadel's very own community drama group 'Hands On' will be taking you on a trip down the yellow brick road with Dorethy. On the way we shall meet wonderful character such as the Scarecrow, the Tin man and The Lion, and all to meet one man... the mighty Wizard Of Oz!

Wizard of Oz at Citadel Arts Centre in St Helens, Merseyside on Thursday, 05 July 2012.
