NEW COMEDY NIGHT COMES TO WHEATLEY, RETFORD
Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Nth and South Wheatley Village Hall on Saturday March 26th
Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website ChortlePrevious acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."
Headlining the launch is the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV's Britain's Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition! Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stageWith his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to noneHe has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for Big Brother and Loose Women and also starred in several adverts including Cravendale, The Post Office, Experian and even Puntigamer beer in Austria
Opening the night will be producer, director, writer and comic Bennett ArronThe only Jewish/Welsh comedian on the circuit he has supported Ricky Gervais on tourAlso a trained actor he takes command of the stage and his humour veers between obsessed anxiety and natural occurrences, with his contagious laugh he lights up any room
Completing the line-up is Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2018, the cheeky Jack Gleadow, hailing from Hull and claiming to have illegitimate Chuckle Brothers heritage, he is one of the most unique performers on the UK comedy circuit today
