Funhouse Comedy is back at The Garage, Chilwell (Barton's) Nottingham on Saturday November 22nd for more fun and laughter
Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in 'Britain's Got Talent' and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show 'Feed This Black Man'With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world
Opening the night will be the intelligent and likeable Nick Doody who whilst still a student, supported Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK, on Bill's requestVery popular on the comedy circuit he also writes for many popular TV comedy shows including 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Have I Got News For You, Rude Tube and for a variety of guests on Mock the WeekHis perceptive wit and sharp retorts are delivered with mesmerizing warmth
Also appearing is award-winning stand-up comedian and writer Dee Allum, a BBC New Comedy Award competition finalist with the ability to weave humour with nuanced identity topics—transitioning, family, society-in a deeply relatable way
Compere for the night will be the congenial Dave Williams, who has performed all over the world, in Australia he headlined the Sydney Comedy Store and appeared at clubs in Melbourne and BrisbaneWith his imaginative and witty accounts he has everyone eating out of his hands
