Festival of Summer Returns to Bristol: A Seasonal Spectacle on the Downs from Friday 25th July until Sunday 17th August 2025.
This year has seen Durdham Downs in Bristol come to life as guests step into a beach area, where they can relax with your feet in the sand or cool off in the splash pool! Grown-ups have been unwinding with a cocktail from the fully licensed tiki bar while the kids have been enjoying the sunshine and water fun. And for those who arrived hungry – the vibrant Food Village has been bursting with flavours from around the world, offering everything from sizzling street food to sweet indulgences.
Thrill seekers have been sampling some of the UK’s best mobile rides, including roller coasters, rides such as the Extreme or Red Devil plus classic fairground favourites, and jaw-dropping inflatable attractions Plus this year there is also a massive fifty metres obstacle course! There are game stalls galore too, with prizes and fun for all ages.
Families with younger children have loved the newly expanded Kid Zone. It is bursting with activities, from giant games and sensory spaces to wild play and creative maker areas, although Kid Zone is not a creche, so grown-ups are encouraged to stay and join in the fun. The best part? All Kid Zone activities are completely free! This year’s festival also features the biggest ever selection of children’s rides and giant inflatables, making it the ultimate summer celebration, there really is something for everyone at Festival of Summer Bristol.
