Immerse yourself in 1940s Wartime Britain
Learn all about rationing, Special Operations and Home Front displays, along with 1940s singers to entertain you. Will you be able to spot the camouflaged sniper and be sure to keep an eye out for any illicit black market deals happening at the station.Winston Churchill we be joining us, making speeches and inspecting the troops.
We will be having a Royal visit from the 1940s King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and her daughter Princess Elizabeth who will be giving a speech to the children and evacuees of Wallingford with a guard of honour from the Oxfordshire Home Guard. Interact with over 100 re-enactors throughout the site, they’ll be able to tell you their story and have a surprise or two for you.
Ride on a heritage train with re-enactors or be entertained with songs from the time.
