Mary Ardens House in the village of Wilmcote, a couple of miles north of Stratford, was the childhood home of Shakespeare´s mother. Situated three and a half miles outside Stratford, it is also home to the Shakespeare countryside museum, two historic fa
arms, displays of farm implements, daily demonstrations by the Heart of England falconry, a blacksmith´s forge and a duck pond.
Original features retained include great wooden beams, a stone lagged floor and a great open fire place in the kitchen.
