It’s one of the most heavily stacked with talent shows we’ve ever assembled, but still the same great price as always!Tickets are £10 in advance with any remaining tickets available on the door for £12. David Trent
One of the most original and inventive comedians operating today, David Trent has won plaudits from every part of the UK comedy scene for his finely honed and forensic examinations of everyday life. David broke through into the upper echelons with his 2012 Edinburgh show “Spontaneous Comedian” which, in the worst year ever for Edinburgh sales, completely sold out the entire run and resulted in David being nominated for the Best Newcomer award. David has continued to grow in both ability and reputation in the proceeding years and now brings his category-defying comedy back to Knaresborough after an electric performance last year!
Jollyboat
One of the most startlingly original acts operating today, brothers Ed and Tommy Croft started their comedy career simply trying to make each other laugh in their teenage bedroom. Since bursting onto the professional scene in 2010, Jollyboat have performed their raucous show to rapturous acclaim across the country, winning the Musical Comedy Awards in 2011, playing to full houses at the Edinburgh Festival and performing at Download and Glastonbury. Famed for their Pirate Pop Songs and never afraid to throw in a Game of Thrones reference or five, Jollyboat still perform with the same child-like abandon they had in that teenage bedroom, making them one of the most infectious shows you’ll see in a long time. From the moment they walked off stage after their first visit to the Frazer Theatre Comedy Club people were asking when the Jollyboat would sail in our waters again, now here they are, not a moment too soon!
Peter Fleming
A veteran of 60’s and 70’s children’s TV shows, Peter Fleming joins us live on stage to regale us with tales of his showbiz life and behind the scenes of his classic programmes. Or perhaps it’s award-winning comedic wunderkind Tom Burgess with a flat out hysterical character. Either way, the laughs come thick and fast!
Lee Kyle
After making two visits to the Frazer with his highly-rated kids shows, Lee will be joining us as compere of the Comedy Club for the first time. A former member of an all-male Spice Girls tribute band and ten year veteran of the professional wrestling scene, Lee is now an extremely talented and popular performer, writer and podcaster. With infectious energy and a boundless invention Lee is one of the best of his generation.
