Taurus Crafts Art Galleries

Taurus Crafts is an arts and crafts visitor centre that features the best in art and locally produced food; it is a base for 15 small artisan businesses;

a Gift Shop; a Cafe; an Organic Food Shop;

Throughout the year there is a regular monthly Food Market featuring local producers fayre, an annual kite day, and many other events, activities, workshops courses and exhibitions for children and adults.

Set up by Dirk and Isa Rohwedder, of the Camphill Village Trust, the aim was to use the operation of a visitor centre to offer work experience, training and employment to people with special needs. We work with local care providers and local schools.

We are open 7 days a week from 10.00am. except at Christmas and New Year. However, as a base for small businesses they need time off and holidays!

We have a regularly changing schedule of exhibitions at Taurus Crafts, on average, two per month.

We give space to established and emerging artists of all types in our exhibition spaces, The Cafe', the Garden Room and outside in the immediate surrounding area.
