Baconsthorpe Castle Castles
Baconsthorpe Castle, more accurately described as a fortified manor house, is the remains of a 15th-century castle, built by Sir John Heydon during the Wars of the Roses. The remains of red brick and knapped flint are reflected in the lake, enlarged from the original castle moat.
