Tucked away in a leafy garden, less than a mile from the city centre, is one of Bradford's most precious jewels. . .

It's easy to see why Bolling Hall was a pleasant family home for more than five centuries, with views right over the city towards the open hills and moors beyond. The oldest part has been standing since well before Henry VIII came to the throne, and the most recent alterations are now more than two hundred years old!

Just because the Hall is peaceful doesn't mean that it's not brimful of interest and a hive of activity! Visitors of all ages are fascinated by the intricate carvings on the old oak furniture, by the huge main window with its stained glass, by the heavily curtained beds, by the blood stain on the floor, by the Boar's head on the wall quite properly without a tongue, and of course by Bradford's most famous ghost. . .

On Bowling Road which runs parallel to the A650 Wakefield Road, about one mile south of the city centre. Buses 620 and 621 from the Interchange stop on Bowling Hall Road just below the Hall. .
