ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN is First Hydro's Visitors Centre in Llanberis, close to the shores of Llyn Padarn and set against a magnificent backdrop of towering mountains and breathtaking scenery. Here, visitors of all ages can discover the amazing powers of hydro-electricity in an exciting, interactive and educational environment.
The split level layout contains interactive displays, models and exhibitions. The history and development of electricity, and its immeasurable effect on mankind, is colourfully explained.
Electric Mountain houses two art galleries with a rolling programme of exhibitions by recognised artists and coming soon a photo gallery of Dinorwig's construction.
The Visitors Centre also offers a newly resourced Environmental Room where school groups can study a wide range of subjects relating to the local wildlife and environment. .
