Malton Museum is Ryedale's major archaeological museum and is located in the heart of Malton's Market Place. The renowned Roman Collections are imaginatively displayed. Explore the objects and evidence displayed from local excavations, marvel at the products of the potteries Norton and Crambeck and admire the elegance of the villa at Langton. Discover nearby Orchard Fields where the ramparts of the Roman Fort can be explored.

New Exhibition at Malton Museum:

25 Years of archaeological research on the sands and gravels of Heslerton

This is a wonderful new exhibition on the last 25 years of digging at Heslerton. Dominic Powlesland has excavated much of the land between West and East Heslerton to uncover a wealth of archeology. The digging is on the south side of the Vale of Pickering. Please visit the museum as this is a must to see.
