Blaise Castle House Museum, Henbury Road, Henbury holds a wonderful collection of exhibits from social history. The House was built in 1796-98 for a very wealthy merchant and banker, John Harford.

The Blaise Castle House, with its magnificent carriage driveway, is set in the Blaise Estate grounds which were originally laid out by the famous landscape gardener, Humphrey Repton.

There are many pathways and walks in the extensive grounds and a folly can be found up on the hill. Nearby is Blaise Hamlet, a picturesque group of thatched cottages also built by John Harford. These charming dwellings were built for his servants and tenants and are still lived in today. .
