Here at the Museum we are committed to recording and preserving the history of aviation in Norfolk. The museum started out as an aviation enthusiasts group for members of the Eastern Counties Omnibus Company way back in 1977. The membership was later opened up to non employees and a temporary site was secured on the 17/35 runway at Norwich Airport.
Still under construction at the moment, this series of displays is designed to show the history of the airport since being sold off by the Ministry of Defence in 1967. Also within this display are sections covering Air Anglia, Air UK and KLM, with many artefacts, newspaper clippings, photographs and models giving comprehensive coverage of the more recent history.
The 100 Group display is dedicated to the men and machines of the Royal Air Force 100 (Bomber Support) Group that was formed on 23rd November 1943.
