Situated above the town of Kirkcudbright, the park has over 25 acres of woodland and grass areas, overlooking the River Dee.
There are over 200 animals to see with the opportunity to feed deer and goats and take part in daily guided tours.
The park is involved in endangered species programs and are part of the Species Conservation Programme. This involvement has included protection of the native Scottish Wildcat aswell as the European Polecat. Other threatened species to be seen at the park include lesser pandas, South American bush dogs, collared peccaries, caracal and lynx.
Activities include free, optional guided tours, pet handling sessions, snake encounters, Animals Crazy Golf, children's educational activity play area aswell as the opportunity to feed goats, deer and llamas
