Leeds Festival takes place in Leeds in England from Friday to Sunday on the weekend of the August bank holiday.

The festival consists of the following stages. There is the main stage which hosts music genres like major rock, indie, metal and other alternative acts. The second stage which is for less known acts and hosts are NME/Radio 1 and builds to an alternative headline act. The stage that follows is the Festival Republic stage prevously previously was known as the Carling stage. This is used to host acts which are less popular in appeal and breakthrough acts.
