The Tudor Fayre is a historical feast for all your senses. Meet the Terrible Tudors and Henry VIII, lots to do and see,Taking place in Bucks County Museum from 11am till 4pm on Sunday 8 September.
The story of the Terrible Tudors will be brought to life in the Museum gardens by the talented crew of the Unbound Theatre, we are hoping that you’ll have a giggle and learn a few things along the way too. Joining them in the garden, are the brilliant Aylesbury Academy of Arms, they will have a large performance area for you to marvel at their skill and talent, with an armourer on hand too. Inside the museum you can meet King Henry VIII, Ann of Aragon, a navigator, confectioner, spinner, musicians and engineers.
This year it is the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo`s Engineers will be bringing several of his machines and inventions for you to see, including his portable bridge, gun carriage, and diving suit. Build and test your own flying machine just like Da Vinci’s.
There will be make-and-take crafts with the Queens Park Arts Centre and our Tudor Trail around the event.
We have a "quiet room" upstairs (with lift access) for those visitors who need to get away from the hustle and bustle.
This event is entirely free of charge – so you’ve got nothing to lose by coming along – you may even learn a thing or too and the kids will have a great time.
