Live Music from the wonderful Fourmost for your Christmas Night out!
Originally known as the Blue Jays, then the Four Jays, then the Four Mosts, the band comprised: Brian O’Hara – lead guitar / vocals Mike Millward – rhythm guitar / vocals Billy Hatton – bass / vocals Dave Lovelady – drumsThe Fourmost had it’s roots steeped in the eclectic 1960s Mersey Beat Boom and and was part of the Brian Eptstein Stable along with The Beatles, Billy J Kramer, Gerry and the Pacemakers and others. The band has evolved from enjoying 1960s chart hits such as “Hello Little Girl” (No. 9) and “A Little Loving” (No. 6) and less popular songs such as “Baby I Need Your Lovin”, “Here, There and Everywhere” and a cover of George Formby’s “Auntie Maggie’s Remedy”.
The Fourmost are one of the most authentic 60’s bands currently on the circuit today, from their Vox Amps, Rickenbacker Guitars and Ludwig drums down to their Italian made slim fitting suits to their Cuban Heel boots.
The Fourmost are: Kevin Clarkson – drums & vocals Alex Leyland – rhythm guitar & vocals Colin Walsh – lead guitar & vocals Lee Clarkson – bass & vocals.
As fans already know, Alex brings with him, great vocal talents, that steady rhythm guitar and his cheeky humour.
Alex is a multi talented musician, a very accomplished rhythm, bass and mandolin player, there is no shortage of quality from this guy.
Alex had a successful era with the country rock band Bush Country back in the mid 70’s cutting a few vinyls along the way.
Kevin is the drummer and lead vocalist, sharing vocal duties with Colin.
Kevin has played with and backed some of the biggest names on the 60’s scene, having worked with Mike Pender of The Searchers, Dave Berry, Tony Crane & Billy Kinsley and Wayne Fontana to name a few. He has been drumming since the early sixties and has toured extensively ever since. A seasoned pro!
Colin is the Fourmost’s second lead vocalist and lead guitarist.
Colin has backed and performed with some of the biggest names to come out of the 60’s, Craig Douglas, PJ Proby, Amen Corner and not forgetting a couple of years with Rev Black & The Rocking Vicars.
Lee, although the youngest member of the Fourmost is a true seasoned professional, working with all the BIG names within the sixties industry, with his authentic equipment, his passion, his attitude and his ability to capture the true essence of the Swinging sixties thus driving the Fourmost to the top of the wonderful sixties world.
