Prickly Ball Hedgehog Hospital: Enjoy the hedgehog experience with hands-on talks where you can learn about the lifecycle and diet of a hedgehog, and also how to make your garden more hedgehog friendly. The Hedgehog Hospital has two main functions - to treat and rehabilitate injured or sich animals, and wherever possible release into the wild. Secondly, to show how we can all create a safer and healthier environment for hedgehogs.
There's lots to do down on the farm, including a children's maze, sand pit, ride on peddle tractors and climbing frame, feed the animals, ride a donkey or pony, cuddle a rabbit, groom a pony, bottle feed a lamb, handle guinea pigs and mice.
You can also relax with a cream tea whilst you gaze on the British Wildlife Garden, specially planted with trees, bushes, shrubs & plants that attract butterflies, bees, birds & insects. There are morning coffees, hot and cold snacks, cream teas and children's lunch boxes.
Also available is the well stocked gift shop with a variety of gifts ranging from children's pocket money items to the more extravagent gifts. .
