A not to be missed opportunity to meet gardening expert Christine Walkden from the world of BBC television.
The Rotary Club of Ongar is delighted to welcome BBC television’sexpert on gardening, Christine Walkden.
Christine lives in Sawbridgeworth and is a patron of St Clare Hospice.
She appears regularly on the BBC’s “One Show” at 7pm each weekday. She has had her own series and is often seen on “Gardeners World”.
Christine is a very humorous speaker and delights everyone with her topical anecdotes. She travels the length and breadth of the country giving talks on a wide range of gardening topics.
Her topic on the 19th March is: “Exotics for your Garden”. After the talk there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
Tony Moore, organiser of the event, said: “We are very privileged to have Christine with us for the evening and I know many local gardening enthusiasts
will want to meet her and share her knowledge.”
During the evening the new “Ongar in Bloom” group will be promoted. Christine has agreed to give them her support by officially launching the charity.
Tickets for the talk are £10 in advance and £12 on the door, if any are still available.
