The White Bus presents a day of Christmas Films at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff on Sea. Get into the Christmas spirit with Fred Claus, It's
Sunday December 17th1.00pm - Fred Claus
Fred Claus (Vince Vaughn) has lived his entire life in his brother’s very large shadow. True to form, Nicholas grew up to be the model of giving, while Fred became the polar opposite. Over Mrs. Claus’ objections, Nicholas agrees to help his brother on one condition: that he comes to the North Pole and earns the money he needs by working in Santa’s workshop. The trouble is that Fred isn’t exactly elf material and with Christmas fast approaching, Fred could jeopardise the jolliest holiday of the year.

4.00pm - It’s A Wonderful Life
The film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody (Henry Travers). Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be had he never been born.
U Certificate / 130mins / Film Starts 4pm
7.30pm - The Muppet Christmas Carol
Michael Caine plays the old miser Scrooge with Kermit as his long-suffering but ever-hopeful employee Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Cratchit's wife, and a host of Muppets (including the Great Gonzo as an unlikely Charles Dickens) taking other primary roles in this bright, playful adaptation of the sombre tale. Or at least it starts brightly enough--the anarchic humour soon settles into mirthful memories and a sense of melancholy as the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future take Scrooge on a journey of his lonely, wasted life
