The Barber of Seville Theatre & Performing Arts

Opera in the Barn! Wonderful music and comedy in a genuine medieval barn. Atmospheric and informal setting suitable for all ages.

This show may be 201 years old, but it is still as light and fresh as candy floss. The story features the barber Figaro and a lady desired by a number of men with different agendas, and the opera is a musical delight with a plot as sticky as spun sugar. So climb aboard the rollercoaster, pull faces in the hall of mirrors, grab a candy floss, then take your seat and enjoy!
If you’ve never been to an opera before, give it a try - you may be surprised to find it’s actually very accessible musical comedy, not some stuffy old performance with people screeching! And all in the atmospheric setting of the magnificent Medieval Barn.
Drinks will be available to purchase beforehand and during the interval, and parking is free. Bring a picnic to eat in the grounds beforehand if you like (gates open 4.30pm.) Tickets £13.50 (£10 under 16s) are available online from
or in person from Daisy’s Coffee Shop, Winterbourne, from 10 July, or on the gate if there are any left.
