BRENT CROSS INSPIRES THE NEXT GENERATION TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
Brent Cross invites local families to learn about sustainability
With David Attenborough taking over our TV screens and inspiring the next generation, there is one question on everyone’s lips; how can we do our bit for the environment?
On Saturday 24th March, Brent Cross, North London’s premier retail destination, will be teaching children about sustainability and encouraging families to do their bit at a unique creative and interactive workshop hosted by environmental experts.
Local shoppers are invited to bring their own recyclables into centre to create a unique, environmentally-friendly sculpture. The sculpture will come together to form the shape of a tree, with each branch carefully put together by the local community.
Educational workshops will also run throughout the day to educate North Londoners about sustainability, recycling and renewable energy; and participants will each be given an informative ‘sustainability booklet’ to take home with them, including useful tips and tricks for sustainable living.
• EVENT: Sustainability for Kids
• DATE: Saturday 24th March, 2018
• TIME: 12:00 – 18:00
• WHERE: Centre Court, Brent Cross

Tom Nathan, General Manager at Brent Cross, commented: "We run a number of events for children throughout the year and as it’s such a current issue, we wanted to focus on sustainability and how we can do our bit. Educating children from a young age on these key issues will help us make a long-term change to how we treat the environment and we hope that shoppers will take the time to join us and learn more about the small everyday changes that can be made to be kind to our planet. "
The sustainability event will be available to children of all ages and will be taking place in Centre Court on Saturday 24th March from 12:00-18:00. The event is one of 60 events to take place in centre as part of the free ‘Brent Cross Kids Club’.
