The RAeS President's Summit 2023: Future of Flight brings together 50+ speakers
The Royal Aeronautical Society's President's Summit is our flagship annual event on a key topic in aerospace, chosen by the Society's PresidentThe 2023 summit, hosted by the 2023-24 President of the RAeS Kerissa Khan MRAeS, focuses on the theme of 'Future of Flight' and explores the potential for Advanced Air Mobility Technologies to transform urban, rural and regional transport as we know it
Overview
During this summit, we'll be welcoming a wide range of senior decision-makers across the transport ecosystem - including aircraft manufacturers, supply chain companies, investors, regulators, government and local authority representatives - who will review the progress of flight technologies, from lightweight fuel cells to aircraft autonomy, and how these platforms are being applied to pioneering flight trials todayInteractive panel discussions will debate the reliability, efficiency and applicability of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft designs, and predict the real world business models for AAM operations
The discussions will mirror the major considerations for the community on how revolutionary aerospace engineering will be rolled out to commercial-scale, including establishing infrastructure and vertiport terminals
Whilst a large proportion of day one will be dedicated to VTOLs in the urban and rural environments, day two moves into regional aviation and sustainable long-haul aviationThe agenda balances the major innovation trends within aviation today, covering both the development of hybrid electric propulsion and lighter-than-air vehicles, as well as the immediate deployment of sustainable aviation fuels in the existing aviation industry
Why attend?
The Future of Flight Summit is a unique opportunity to network with the entire ecosystem of advanced air mobility stakeholders - original equipment manufacturers, supply chain, regulators, investors, government authorities - and be part of the discussion on revolutionary engineering for the air transport of the future, right in the centre of London
