A talk & demonstration by local ceramicist Allison Pink who will show how she builds and textures her animal sculptures
Alison's professional life has been consistently animal based - from veterinary practice to lecturing in anatomy and physiology at an agricultural college. This has left her with a sound knowledge of animal structure and movement. If it walks, swims or flies, she is passionate about immortalising it in clay. She adds detail by imprinting texture using random items - these could be anything from lace, shells, braid or rubber stamps to just any odd bit from 'that drawer' in the kitchen! Examples of her work can be seen at www.alisonpink.co.uk .The meeting will be held at Little Kingshill Village Hall, Windsor Lane, Little Kingshill (HP16 0DZ) on Friday 26th January from 8-10pm. Entry is free for BPSS members, £5 for visitors. Information about the society can be seen at www.buckspotters.com We are also on Facebook and Instagram.
