Maldon High Street will benefit from an exciting event on 26th March between 10am and 3pm!
'Keep It Local - A Community Together' has been put together to encourage residents to visit their local towns and spend time exploring, while taking part in the day's events which include: -Live music and family entertainment including balloon modellers
Craft tents - make a windmill and plant a seed in the potting shed
Chase, Paw Patrol appearances will take place at intervals during the day
Visitors can also contribute to the community murals with positive messages about their town, which will be on display after the event at the town's librariesFree tote bags for adults and children's drawstring bags will be given away on the day to visitors to take home and re use when shopping local
Maldon Carnival are also offering an Easter Trail and familiesTrail sheets will be available from 26th March in Maldon library
Maldon District Council has engaged Essex marketing agency, Key Lime to deliver the events, which are being funded by the European Regional Development FundThe Welcome Back Fund was established to provide councils across England a share of GBP 56 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe return to high streets and help build back better from the pandemicThis funding builds on the GBP 50 million Reopening High Street Safely Fund (RHSSF) allocated to councils in 2020 and forms part of the wider support government is providing to communities and businesses
