Led by charismatic piano virtuoso Dom Pipkin, they started with a two year residency at Ronnie Scott’s famous jazz club, and have now headlined blues and jazz festivals up and down the country, and released two acclaimed albums.One of the top practitioners internationally, Dom Pipkin has appeared many times on British and American TV and radio with his interpretations of classic rolling New Orleans piano. Radio 2 presenter and jazz star Jamie Cullum says “I can’t hold a candle to this guy”, and Paloma Faith, who Pipkin was musical director to for four years adds “When Dom plays the piano, magic happens!”
This all-star group with playing credits ranging from Dr John, Laura Mvula, Paul Weller, Maceo Parker, Pee Wee Ellis, Ray Davies and David Byrne create a party wherever they go with their deep funky sound, and as well as their own songs bring alive the spirit of the greats - Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, The Meters, and many many more. The Meters drummer, and acknowledged godfather of New Orleans funk Zigaboo Modeliste says “Dom brings the whole New Orleans thing to the UK. So good!” Early booking is always advised.
