John VerityJohn Verity has had an amazing career; supporting rock luminaries such as JIMI HENDRIX, JANIS JOPLIN and THE WHO, recording with RINGO STARR, KEITH EMERSON, GREG LAKE, THE ZOMBIES amongst others. John's still touring constantly with his own band playing to sold out venues and in March 2016 released the new album 'My Religion' from which selected tracks will be featured at his Half Moon appearance. “Quite simply the best thing I've done” says John when asked about it and, looking at the breadth of his career, then this must be something special. The track-list spans classic blues and original numbers with disparate subjects and sentiments but John holds them all together with his distinctive soulful blues edge. The result is an album that is perfectly paced, flawlessly produced and beautifully packaged, a testament to John's meticulous technique both on recordings and at live appearances.
Beki Brindle
July 20th-July 30th 2015- "Will be her second tour of the UK, New York Blues Hall of Famer Beki Brindle and her UK band are delighted to be playing at The Pheasantry. Performing many original songs plus some old blues tunes from the likes of her mentor Yank Rachell (Sleepy John Estes and Sonnyboy Williamson), the band play with a real funky New Orleans feel. Beki is the real deal ,a fantastic guitarist/vocalist who has recorded & performed with many Legends of The Blues. Supported by master drummer Alan “Stick”Wicket, Bass player John Riordan and conga/percussionist Chris Maidment,supported by keyboard player Geoff Grimes be prepared for a foot tapping hand clapping night of great blues."
