What does Brexit mean for artists and gallerists? And what about the confidence of collectors, not to mention the state of funding? **The first 23 tickets to this talk are half-price!**
A little over one year since the referendum vote that positioned the UK to exit Europe, we still don't know what it means or how it will look. While some institutions are said to have put exhibition programming on hold and a number of Continental European organisations are weary to proceed with collaborations with UK-based entities, what are independent artists and galleries to do?
The show must go on, but with how much risk and investment, not to mention the consideration of putting you and your business in a 'safe' position?
In July 2017, the monthly BSAA - CASS ART talk series is delighted to welcome guest speaker Cynthia Corbett, Founder of the Cynthia Corbett Gallery and the Young Masters Art Prize, with a former career as an economist and diplomat. Her years travelling the world, addressing economic concerns that impacting citizens and countries, combined with an in-depth understanding of the art industry, puts Cynthia in a unique postion to provide perspective for micro and small enterprises in the pre and post Brexit art world.
Come with your pressing questions for this talk that is set to inform, inspire and help to guide you over the summer as you prepare for the autumn 2017 art season and beyond.
