Rock the Strand at Strand Palace Hotel Live Music & Concerts

‘Rock the Strand’ returns to Strand Palace Hotel on Thursday 24th August with a stellar line-up of talented artists.

The August event kicks off at 7.30pm with a night of live music from Dana Elle, Lisa Canny, ILONA and Tony Moore.

Situated in the hotel’s Lounge Bar revellers can indulge with tipples from the bar’s extensive drinks menu, which includes bottled beers, ciders, aperitifs and cocktails.

7.30pm Dana Elle
The soul catching Israeli songstress and world class Dana Elle moves hearts and touches souls with her original compositions of R&B, Soul, Groove. Her 2nd international album "Wake Up!" produced by British producer Femi Temowo known for his success with artists such as Amy Winehouse, The Roots, and George Benson. With recent performances in Tel Aviv, London (the famous Jazz club Ronnie Scott's) and the U.S (Hollywood & Beverly Hills) she has been captivating audiences with lively and dynamic shows moving the crowd to dance and lift their voices in song with her, spreading her message of letting go of our pasts and moving forward, living our dreams to the fulles.

8.15pm Lisa Canny

Lisa Canny was born in Co. Mayo, Ireland. She began showing a big interest in music from a very young age, teaching herself tunes on the piano. Growing up she became heavily involved with CCÉ Ballindine, Lisa has won 7 All-Ireland Fleadh Ceoil titles throughout her competitive years, including the Senior Harp title in 2008. Now also a teacher, 9 of Lisa’s own students have gone on to win All-Ireland medals. Lisa is creating her own lane and creating something new within the music industry, she is infusing the Irish sound and her heritage with a modern day twist. Her sound is refreshing and unique and one that is gaining traction on global scale.

9:15pm ILONA
ILONA is a truly original performer with a unique tone, a natural sense of dynamics and the ability to sing a lyric, tell a story and make people know she means it. Since beginning her musical career, ILONA has already achieved an enormous amount. She’s won awards for video as well as live performance, she’s also performed at SXSW (in Austin, Texas) and played shows in LA, New York, Nashville and across Europe.

9:40pm - Tony Moore
Tony's long and eclectic career in the music business includes being a founding member of Iron Maiden at the end of the 70s, and as the keyboard player in Cutting Crew. For the last few years he has also been co-writing, producing and touring the world with emerging artist ILONA. Tony is currently recording material for a solo album having just released the lead single, a powerful ballad called Perfect And Beautiful.
