NEW COMEDY NIGHT COMES TO NOTTINGHAM
Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Good Fellow George, Canning Circus, Nottinghamon Thursday May 25th
Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website ChortlePrevious acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."
Topping the bill is comedian, actor, writer, BBC Radio presenter and juggler Steve Royle, who came 3rd in the final of Britain's Got Talent 2020 and previously performed as a warm-up act on the Royal Variety performanceHe spent many years as the court jester at Camelot theme park and has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tourHis TV appearances include 'Phoenix Nights', 'Live at the Palladium' and 'Max and Paddy'Amusing his audiences with his high energy and distinctive talents, there's something for everyone
Opening the night will be Canadian stand-up, writer and actor David TsonosWith his friendly and confident persona, he intrigues everyone with his combination of banter and impulsive comments
Completing the line-up is winner of Funhouse's Should I Stay or Should I Go competition and semi-finalist in British Comedian of the Year, the up-and-coming Jacob Nussey who draws in the crowd with his low-status, surreal, and often dark style
Compere for the night will be the amiable and amusing Dave Bryon
