See the excellent David Mills - Shame & Darren Walsh's - S-Pun on Thursday 30th June for just £5 at The Anglers.
Edinburgh Festive Preview Weekend At The Anglers.
DARREN WALSH - S'PUN:
Fresh from winning Dave's Joke of the Fringe last year & re-telling it dozens of times, Darren Walsh set to work on coming up with a completely new set of jokes for 2016. S’PUN is the follow-up to 2015's five-star Edinburgh show PUNDERBOLT. Darren combines animations, videos, sound effects, drawings, ad-libbing & surreal nonsense.
'Punbelievable!' ***** - The Mirror.
'Top 40 funniest blokes of the year' - Zoo Magazine.
'A tall guy with a big talent for short jokes' - The Stage.
'Walsh is all set to become the new ruler of the comedy kingdom' **** - Broadway Baby.
'unstoppable tsunami of stupid puns.' - Chortle.
Having authored his own book 'Cheep Laughs' which encompasses four misspent years of scribbling and doodling & including over 1000 jokes, Darren's stand up career has gone from strength to strength. The UK's first Pun Champion debuted his hour at the Edinburgh Festival 2015 which saw him win Dave's Joke of the Fringe as well as listed in the top joke round ups of The Guardian, The Mirror, The Telegraph & The Independent. Darren also appeared on BBC Presents: Best Of The Edinburgh Festival.
DAVID MILLS - SHAME:
The hardest-working stand-up cabaret personality in London, David Mills cuts to the bone in his latest uproarious comedy rant. Navigating pop culture & politics with acid-tongued satire & cocktail swagger, Mills cuts a swathe through ISIS, the tyranny of trans, nepotism, sex clubs & Hollywood blockbusters. No one escapes Mills' scalpel wit & incisive jibes.
What's left?
SHAME!
"A superior act. Mills is an archduke of comedy with the emphasis on 'arch'." - Chortle.
"David Mills is a class act. His jokes are beautifully crafted, sparkling little missiles loaded with wit." - Scotsman.
"Like the sharp-suited lovechild of Larry Grayson & Dave Allen, Mills combines laid-back storytelling with acerbic wit." - Broadway Baby.
"His claws are as sharp as his suit." - List.
