His work as a producer - as Daniel Bell, KB Project and DBX - label owner of Accelerate and Seventh City, record distributor and superb DJ, seeks to combine Detroit rawness with a more German minimalist sensibility, creating a sound that’s just as relevant 20 years later. His Discogs page reads as an ode to quality control and outrageous production talent: despite only releasing a handful of records under various alter egos, each one is a masterpiece in its own way. The pitch perfect house of his Elevate Special Projects, the timeless techno he recorded as DBX, and his catalog of essential remixes, remain some of the most sought after dance records in electronic music history.He’s joined by über talented nu-skool DJ Bruno Schmidt. Bruno has showcased his blend of exquisite tech-house, minimal and breakbeat for the likes of Fabric, Toi.Toi and Yay, as well as programming Meadows In The Mountains festival in Bulgaria - to those who know one of Europe’s finest intimate festivals - and running Hi-fi with good friends and fellow Pickle Factory favourites Andrew James Gustav and Gwenan. As a producer, Bruno is one of the UK’s most vital new talents, who’s rich, compelling debut release for Spinning Plates belied his relative production inexperience. The Pickle Factory’s own Toby Nicholas rounds out the lineup, and will warm the floor for a special night of stripped back electronic music.
