Christmas Special Night of Comedy in Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Topping the bill is Jo Caulfield is a genuinely witty and sharply observational comic, who quickly builds up a rapport with her audiences. At 17 she left home and moved to London to sing and play drums in a Rockabilly band, even though she could actually do neither! In her first comedy open spot, which she won, she was drunk and decided to enter without any preparation at all! Since then she has gone from strength to strength appearing on TV in the likes of ‘Have I Got News For you’, ‘Mock the Week’, ‘Saturday Night Live’ and ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’. Her presence is equally felt on Radio, having appeared on ‘The News Quiz’, Clive Anderson’s Chat Room and recording her own programme for a number of years on Radio 4. Add to that TV warm-up and comedy writer for such people as Joan Rivers, Ant & Dec and Graham Norton, here is a very talented lady.

Opening the show will be Gary Delaney a regular guest on TV’s ‘Mock The Week’ and also a writer for TV, Radio and other comedians. He was the only stand-up to have two of his jokes named in the top ten gags at 2010's Edinburgh Fringe. Well known for his taut, brilliant one-liners Gary Delaney is very much in demand on the comedy circuit. The large quantity of his quick-fire gags leaves his audiences struggling to remember them all.

Also appearing is the fearlessly funny Phil Chapman, whose first impromptu comedy performance was at a local Chinese restaurant. His appealing stage persona and skilful material ensure that his audiences are left wanting for more.

Completing the line-up will be Simon Wozniak with his inimitable and no holds barred opinions on everyday life.

Compere for the night will be the amiable and animated Spiky Mike.
