Come foraging with us and learn all about natures bountiful larder. Enjoy refreshments on route and a foraged lunch with us to end the day.
This diverse area is incredibly rich in a wide variety of edible wild plants and mushrooms throughout the year.We will meet in Eyam at the Miners Arms. The course starts there with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the Countryside Act.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the village, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms that we find.
We'll stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup or fruit leathers.
Then it’s back to the pub for a wild food lunch based on what we have found and some pre-prepared homemade treats.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
