Relive the glory days of knights in armour this school holiday
Could YOU be a medieval knight? Find out what it meant to those brave men of yesteryear, discover some of the decisions they had to make in the heat of battle, try your hand at some of their training methods or indeed try on some real armour and discover which type of weapon would work best for you. Not the blood thirsty type? No problem, perhaps you would have been a Lady, a craftsperson, or joined the Church - let us give you an insight into the lives of our ancestors. Come along and join the knights, ladies and general riff raff at Boston Guildhall Museum where you’ll have the opportunity to handle replica weapons, try on armour and clothing, examine items as diverse as the finger of Saint Ann or a medieval chess set, along with everyday items of pottery, lighting, food & eating utensils, even surgeons tools! There will also be refreshments on sale and even guided tours available (at a small cost)Open 10:30am - 3.30pm. (last admission to the museum 3pm) FREE admission. Two pay & display car parks opposite the museum (PE21 6HX)
