Often referred to as the Domesday Book, this document records the state of the nation in the late 11th Century and is the earliest surviving domestic record in The National Archive. Domesday makes its appearance in the David P J Ross Magna Carta Vault at the Castle alongside the iconic documents – Charter of the Forest 1217 and Magna Carta 1215.Normal admission charges apply.
