Donald McLean famously known as don Mclean the famous American song writer and singer from New Rochelle New york , famous for his album "American pie" containing hit songs like "American pie" and "Vincent" performed recorded early 1970'sMcLean's music career started while he was young .He recorded his first album "Tapestry" in 1969 in Berkeley, California after being turned down by 34 labels, the album was launched by MediaArts and received plenty of reviews though it was uncommon outside the folk community,His second album "American pie" which was a major break to McLean, was recorded by United Artist Records after taking over Media Arts, the album saw him spawn two major hits songs "American pie" and "Vincent" that rocked the charts bringing him into the international limelight which piqued his debut album and rose through the charts after two years.Mclean has produced a total of 25 albums of which, on several occasions has topped the UK, US, Canadian charts. He held several concerts globally. He was inaugurated into songwriters Hall of fame in 2004.
