NEW COMEDY NIGHT COMES TO NEWARK
Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at The Brew's Brothers, Newark on Monday May 23rd
Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website ChortlePrevious acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."
Topping the bill is comedian, actor, writer, BBC Radio presenter and juggler Steve Royle, who came 3rd in the final of Britain's Got Talent 2020 and previously performed as a warm-up act on the Royal Variety performanceHe spent many years as the court jester at Camelot theme park and has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tourHis TV appearances include 'Phoenix Nights', 'Live at the Palladium' and 'Max and Paddy'Amusing everyone with his high energy and distinctive talents, there's something for everyone
Opening the night will be 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett, recently made his 'Live at the Apollo' debut and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time; runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support for both Michael McIntyre and Rob BrydonThis loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who has been busy delighting people through the lockdown, with his 'Stand Up From The Shed' online show
Completing the line-up will be the smart and intrepid Mark Cram, who has supported the likes of Gary Delaney, Shazia Mirza and Nick HelmHis appealing persona and random, well-executed story lines are both entertaining and intriguing
