What did East Anglian designers create when they were inspired by Norwich's Renaissance Books? Find out, plus handle the books for yourself!
This spectacular collection contains books from the centuries soon after the invention of the printing press, books which demonstrate the different ways in which this new technology was used to disseminate knowledge, engage readers, and celebrate craftsmanship. To show how inspiring these books can still be today, East Anglian designers have produced their own creative responses to the collection. Drop in any time between 10.30am and 4.30pm to see what they have made and get your hands on the Renaissance books that inspired them. Chat to the designers about their creative process and explore the books themselves with experts in Renaissance literature from UEA. This event is brought to you by Unlocking the Archive and is part of Being Human: a national festival of the humanities. Twitter: @archiveunlockedWebsiteVisit website
