This year's very popular annual family afternoon concert has an animal theme. The story of Babar will be brought to life for us by the highly acclaimed actress Lynn Farleigh.Apart from elephants, insects, hens, pink panthers and even fossils figure in this zoological feast of music. The programme includes: The Pink Panther (Mancini), The Wasps Overture (Vaughan Williams), The 'Hen' symphony (first movement of Haydn's Symphony No 83) and a selection from Carnival of the Animals (Saint-Saens). Children! bring your elephants and come dressed up as your favourite animal. This event is once again supported by Bicester Town Council. Tickets sold on the door or advance from Coles Books Bicester.
Based in Bicester Trinity Camerata is a small, high quality, amateur orchestra drawing members from Bucks, Oxfordshire and Northants. The family concert is one of three concerts staged annually by the orchestra in Bicester's historic church of St Edburg. Previous performances have been to packed audiences and have included Paddington's First Concert, The Snowman, We're Going on a Bear Hunt and Peter and the Wolf.
