Award winning family film
Parentless and abandoned, Hugo spends his days winding the station clocks, filching breakfast from the platform food-stalls and doing his best to continue the family tradition of clockwork-building by fixing a much-cherished writing automaton passed on to him by his late father. The origin of the automaton is thrown in to question however after he discovers a strange connection with grumpy toy shop owner Georges Melies.Regarded as a celebration of the birth of cinema HUGO is a visual feast for all the family to enjoy during the spring half term, and a rare opportunity to see Scorsese’s masterpiece back on the big screen.
Starring Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, Jude Law, Sacha Baron Cohen, Christopher Lee and Helen McCrory
Directed and produced by Martin Scorsese
