The Creative Craft Show, Sewing for Pleasure and Fashion and Embroidery returns to the NEC Birmingham from 12th to 15th March 2026, bringing
Highlights include Laura Pack’s playful terrazzo creations, Louise Whiteley’s charming wooden cottages, and specialist sessions in pyrography, silver fusing, mosaics, and felting, giving visitors a unique chance to learn, create, and experience the UK’s finest craft talent under one roof.
Visitors can take part in Creative Den Workshops and Craft Academy Masterclasses, ranging from quick taster sessions to in-depth half-day classes. Colleges and guilds, including the Coventry Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers and Darn It!, will be in attendance, while Hive of Craftivity, the Family History Federation, the Marquetry Society, NAFAS South Midlands, and the British Polymer Clay Guild will offer live demonstrations, talks, and displays throughout the show.
Highlights of Fashion & Embroidery include Nuestro Nanamoli’s monumental Tree of Life tapestry, the National Embroidery Awards 2026, and the Schools Fashion Design Competition 2026, showcasing bold designs made from repurposed materials.
Visitors can enjoy hands-on embroidery workshops, free demos on the Textile Stage, and exhibitions such as the Embroiderers’ Guild Members’ Projects and the Textile Graduate Showcase, featuring emerging UK talent. Renowned makers including Donna Davies, Elizabeth Connolly, and Jessica Grady will demonstrate their techniques and share their expertise.
Colleges and guilds, including Eau Brink Studio, IDC College, the Embroiderers’ Guild, and the Japanese Embroidery Guild, will offer talks, workshops, and displays throughout the show.
Now in its second year the National Embroidery Awards will take place at Fashion & Embroidery inviting entries from all corners of the community with the aim of celebrating wonderful artistry and diversity of embroidery. The competition is open to all levels of ability and is split into two categories; in education and not in education to ensure all those who enter have a chance to shine.
This year, Sewing for Pleasure will also be hosting a bigger and better Proud Lounge for sewists and crafters alike to enjoy a dedicated space celebrating the diversity of the sewing and crafting community.
The Creative Craft Show will feature a brand new ‘Home-Style Stage,’ where under expert guidance, visitors can learn how to use their crafting skills to create and up-cycle beautiful and exciting items for their home.
For the price of one ticket, those attending the Creative Craft Show will have access to Sewing for Pleasure as well as the Fashion and Embroidery show. Sewing for Pleasure is the perfect place to be if sewing, knitting, and patchwork are your passions, while the Fashion and Embroidery Show offers a showcase for a plethora of embroidery and textile art.
