This was due to be on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd May 2016, 11 til 5 both days. This has now been changed to Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May but still 11-5.
We are very excited to bring you a very scenic new venue - Bagshaw Museum, Wilton Park, Batley WF17 0AS.
This gorgeous Gothic mansion is set in lovely surroundings (35 or so acres) and is an absolute must to come and see.
This market will be more exclusive as this new venue doesn't have the space to hold as many traders as the main LSM events. However it is fully accessible and has ample outdoor space for photography and exploration. We will have a small vintage tearoom area which will also do takeaway cuppas and cake in one of the museum rooms along with traders. We unfortunately aren't able to hold it in the old butterfly house (not used as that any more) which is right next to the drive and house's front lawn. It will be open for visitors to go in and sit down though so you can take your cups and cake in there and there will be some picnic tables and chairs out on the lawn.
There is a quaint observatory which at this time will be open 1.30 to 3.30pm on the Sunday. This is entirely volunteer run but if the hours vary we will keep you informed.
The only entertainment is going to be the Coffee Jousting but we think you are not going to need much else to be honest as the grounds of this place and Wilton Park are just perfect for exploring and taking steampunk photos. Explore down through the woods to find a boating lake as well!
