Cartwright Hall is Bradford's civic art gallery and offers an exciting programme of contemporary exhibitions, with four permanent galleries displaying works from our art collections. The collections consist mainly of 19th and 20th century British art, with strong collections of international contemporary prints and contemporary South Asian art and crafts.

Over many years, Bradford Museums, Galleries & Heritage have built, conserved and made available to the public a range of important collections. Through these collections we can learn a lot about the lives of Bradford's communities, old and new, and the natural and industrial heritage of the Bradford District.

Cartwright Hall runs a lively programme of exhibitions, including contemporary exhibitions by local, national and international artists, historical exhibitions, craft and media arts, and a biennial open exhibition.

The shop in the museum offers a wide range of souvenirs and gifts including cards, books and toys. We also stock a range of catalogues, art books and art cards.

Disabled parking and wheelchair access to rear of the building. Please ring bell and an attendant will assist. Access to all departments is by a lift. Accessible toilet. Baby changing unit. .
