Our seafood restaurant in Cornwall. At dawn our fishermen and local farmers are out gathering produce from the fields and the sea, so that it arrives at Bedruthan with the dew still on it. Our chefs love to cook with natural ingredients straight from the earth as fresh tastes so much better. Our philosophy is beautiful food infused with flavour that puts a big smile on your face. And eating at The Herring restaurant is eating with a conscience too. Every bite you take is helping our local community. All our fish is sustainably caught with respect for our fragile marine environment. We open the newest restaurant in Cornwall with our favourite Cornish chefs, Mick Smith and Ryan Venning from the Porthminster Beach Caf�. Our collaboration brings an exciting new approach to cooking Cornish seafood and a restaurant design that is as inspiring as the food. The menus will be about perfectly-cooked ingredients with the occasional Asian twist � showing off Mick and Ryan�s award winning flair for technical brilliance grounded in local sourcing and the freshest fish and local produce. Our menus change daily as the joy of cooking with whatever our fantastic suppliers bring each day makes our chefs so passionate about what they do. Lunches at The Herring are relaxed and perfect for families or anyone walking the Cornish coast path. We open for lunch 12-2.30pm and the lawned terrace is perfect for sunny days at any time of year. Dinner at The Herring is a little more daring and intimate - a fusion of interesting flavours and the perfect place to watch the sun go down. Our enthusiasm for good wine is something to be shared, so every course is accompanied by thoughtful recommendations. Dinner is served 6-10pm and children should be over 12 years old. From the south, drive past the centre of the village and continue up the hill past the pitch and putt course. Follow the road around and find us on the left hand side.
