Penderyn Distillery Visitor Centre Museums

Visiting Penderyn Distillery has become one of the most popular things to do in South Wales and is a genuine Welsh tourist attraction.

Penderyn Distillery opened its doors to visitors in June 2008 with the launch of its new purpose designed and built Visitor Centre. The distillery is the only one in Wales and the first to legally distil whisky spirit in the country for more than 100 years. At last, members of the public can enjoy a distillery tour, take a journey through the history of single malt whisky making in Wales, and understand the distilling and bottling process at first hand.

The aim of opening the distillery to visitors is to educate and inform people about the ancient art of distilling whisky and to demonstrate the differences between our process and the distilling of Scottish, Irish and American whiskies. The distillery expects to attract 20,000 ' 25,000 visitors per year and is a rising star of Welsh tourism.
