National Park Centre Outdoors
Aysgarth Falls National Park Centre is found just off the A684 on the eastern fringe of the village of Aysgarth in Wensleydale.
The National Park Centre is housed in converted railway cottages in a very picturesque ancient woodland setting. The Centre tells the story of Freeholders' Wood and how the beautiful waterfalls of Aysgarth Falls were created. The Coppice cafe is located in the Centre and run by a local operator.
All of the National Park Authority's National Park Centres are also tourist information centres, networked with the English Tourism Council. They offer a wide range of services, these include a local and national accommodation booking service, sales of maps, books and souvenirs and information for visitors and locals. They even provide daily weather forecasts for the immediate area.
Our National Park Centres help us to promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the National Park by the general public. The staff working in the Centres have a wealth of knowledge and interesting information about the area. .
