David Walliams and his model wife Lara Stone are celebrating today after Lara gave birth to a healthy baby boy. There are no further details on the weight or name of their new son. The couple married three years ago.
Little Britain comedian, David Walliams and his wife of three years have given birth to a baby boy yesterday.
Twitter has been lively with friends of the couple leaving messages today of congratulations on the birth of their new son.
A spokeswoman for David's wife said that they could confirm that the couple had given birth to a boy, but was unwilling to supply any more information.
According to The Sun, the comedian had joked that if their baby was a boy, then they would call him after his Britain's Got Talent fellow judge Simon Cowell.
Although in a recent interview, he said that it would be unlikely that they would call their child an unusual name.
Telling Alan Carr on his hit Channel 4 programme Chatty man, he said:
'It's a bit of a curse if you're called Apple or Peaches or something like that. I think we're just going to go with a normal name.
Walliams, who has also written a series of children's books, with one of the series called 'Gangster Granny' and to be adapted by the BBC, also said:
'I'm really excited about it becasue I have been writing children's books and you get to that age when a lot of your friends have kids and you start thinking, 'when's it going to happen to me?'
Well, now it has and our sincere wishes and congratulations go out the new family.
