Gervais cast as dolphin in Family Guy NEWS

Comedy actor Ricky Gervais has been cast as a Dolphin in the American animation 'Family Guy'.

'The Office' star has joined the cast for one season to play the marine mammal that moves into the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island, after a chance meeting on a fishing trip. Gervais is said to be thrilled at the prospect as 'Family Guy' is a real favourite of his.

The dolphin character is to be called 'Billy Finn' and Gervais stated that he is really excited about the way it's being written and developed. He admitted that he usually watches at least two 'Family Guy's a night and his love of the show is becoming a slight obsession. When Seth McFarlane from the show, phoned to offer him the role, he jumped at the chance, (just like a dolphin!).
